We propose different birthing-packages, as we find it important that a couple feels comfortable with the place of birth and the birthing partners/health professionals attending the birth. It is only when a labouring women feels safe and comfortable, that there is the best chance of having a normal labour and birth.

Support of labour

You call us when labour has started properly, and one of us will come to your home. If you have chosen to have your baby at the hospital with your gynaecologist or the team of midwives, we will advise you to go to the hospital at the right time, or when mum/dad-to-be feels it’s time to go. Further birthing assistance will then be provided by your hospital of choice.

Homebirth with Pregnant in Brussels

You call us when labour has started properly, and one of us will come to your home. When the birth of your baby is near, we call a second midwife. Both midwives will be there at the moment of delivery and will support you throughout. We stay with you for another two hours (or longer if you feel the need), and leave your new family to enjoy and get to know each other with a peaceful mind.

We also rent a birth pool. More info here

Delivery at the hospital (St. Jan) with Pregnant in Brussels

You call us when labour has started properly, and one of us will come to your home. When we think it’s the right time to leave, or when mum-/dad-to-be feels it’s time to go, we join you on your trip to St. Jan and continue our care there. At the moment of the birth, a midwife of St. Jan will assist us. After the birth of your baby, we stay for another two hours and leave your new family to enjoy and get to know each other with a peaceful mind.
